Accessibility

We want Rangaloka to be usable by as many people as possible, and we build with that in mind as the site grows. Here's what's in place today.

Visual aids

  • A light and dark theme, switchable from the header, for low-light and bright-light viewing.
  • Text and background colors are chosen with contrast in mind throughout the design.
  • Layouts stay legible when browser text size is increased.
  • Motion is reduced automatically for visitors with "prefers-reduced-motion" set in their OS or browser.

Screen reader support

  • Pages use semantic HTML landmarks (navigation, main content, footer) so screen readers can jump between sections.
  • Images include descriptive alt text.
  • Interactive controls (menus, toggles, forms) carry ARIA labels where their purpose isn't obvious from visible text alone.
  • All interactive elements are reachable and operable by keyboard.
